This can be a degree in business* or a non-business degree in a relevant discipline. See the programme page for your chosen programme for more detailed information on entry requirements.

*Note: Applicants who have completed advanced course(s) in an undergraduate degree which are considered substantially similar to courses in their chosen programme will be required to complete substitute course(s). Advice will be provided on a case-by-case basis.

Fees and scholarships

Fees are set in advance of each calendar year and will be updated on this website. All fees are inclusive of 15% GST but do not include the student services fee, course books, travel and health insurance or living costs. All amounts shown are indicative only. Key dates

Programmes are delivered in quarters. Each quarter is ten weeks long followed by a two-week break, with four quarters per calendar year.

Depending on the programme, intake may be once or twice per year in Quarter Two and/or Quarter Four. You can apply for entry into your chosen programme up to 12 months before the programme start date.

To find out when the next intake starts for your chosen programme, please visit the programme page.

Visa information

You will need to apply for a student visa before you can study in the programme. Find more details below in Step Three, and full information on the visa process from Immigration New Zealand.

Insurance

All international students are legally required to have appropriate health and travel insurance. The University has a recommended policy that meets New Zealand government requirements. When you enrol, you will automatically be covered by Studentsafe Inbound University, and the insurance premium will be added to your student account. You will receive details with your offer of admission letter. For more information, please visit: auckland.ac.nz/is-insurance.

Step 1

Application

To apply for a place in the programme you need to complete an online application. If you are applying for the first time, you will need to sign up for a new account. There is no application fee.

You will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your application. If requested, you will need to submit physical certified copies of your supporting documents.

This will include a checklist of documents you will need to submit.

Please note: A certified hard copy of these documents may still be required in future.

Step 2

Admission

Your application will be assessed and if you are successful, we will email you an offer of place.

When you have accepted a firm offer or have met the requirements of a conditional offer you can enrol in your courses.

Step 3

Apply for a visa (international students only)

You will need to apply for a student visa before you can study in the programme.

To apply for a visa, you will need a current passport, your offer of admission letter, fees receipt and evidence of funds to support yourself in New Zealand.

You do not need to have enrolled in courses before you pay your tuition fees. You should arrange the payment of your fees based on the fees estimate stated in your offer letter. Fees can be paid in instalments, however you must meet the requirements for your student visa, which may vary depending on your country of origin.

Once you have paid the fees, you can generate a statement through Student Services Online. This document can be used to support your visa application.

Immigration New Zealand provides specific details of all the required documentation for your visa application.
