Discover the exciting learning spaces at the University of Auckland Business School.

We offer a range of purpose-built learning spaces and hubs, including our team-based learning labs, case rooms, BNZ Financial Trading Room and Te Ahi Hangarau Technology Hub. As a postgraduate student, you’ll also have access to the postgraduate lounge and dedicated postgraduate computer lab on Level Two of the Sir Owen G Glenn Building.

The University of Auckland is also home to the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE). Enjoy free innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialisation programmes at CIE and access the ‘maker space’ equipped with the latest technology to help you bring your business ideas to life.

Outside of studying, relax at our many cafes, eateries and social spaces on campus, or explore the fitness options at our recreation centre.

Learning spaces

Put your learnings into practice in a classroom environment focused on experiential learning. You’ll work through structured team exercises and apply the concepts you’ve learned in different contexts, to help you understand the theory on a deeper level.

The BNZ Financial Trading Room

Our state-of-the-art simulated financial trading room is a unique experience for future entrepreneurs and commerce champions. Here, you’ll gain first-hand experience of global capital markets in an authentic real-time learning environment.

Study spaces

We offer dedicated study spaces for postgraduate students, equipped with computers, printers and wireless capabilities. Postgraduate students can access specialist business and financial databases including Eikon, Datastream and SDC Platinum in the postgraduate lab.

Communal spaces

The light and airy Postgraduate Lounge has bench-top, table and lounge meeting spaces, kitchenette facilities and plasma screens for studying or relaxing between lectures.

Case rooms

The Sir Owen G Glenn building contains four case rooms, which seat 75 students each. These spaces are ideal to encourage discussion and debate in your learning environment.

Break out rooms

Students can book break out rooms for group study from 7am-7pm Monday to Friday, and 8am-5pm on Saturdays.

Te Ahi Hangarau Technology Hub

A 5G-enabled lab for students to explore, discover and create using the power of technology. Get hands-on with 3D printers, virtual reality, smart home IoT devices and more.
