Student Stories

Doan Thanh Hoa

Programme: Master of Professional Accounting (MProfAcctg)

“The programme helped me a lot – not just with overall accounting knowledge, but also with transferable skills such as critical thinking, analysis and communication. The Business Communications Team were also really helpful – they helped us to polish our writing, our assignments and presentations. It was really helpful, especially for an international student like me.

That’s one of the things I liked most about studying at the University. Not only is it a high-quality programme, they also looked after us to help us find jobs.”

Sangvin Chey

Programme: Master of Professional Accounting (MProfAcctg)

“I was drawn to the University because I’d heard about the renowned academic programmes on offer, taught by highly respected teaching staff. There’s also a strong alumni network here and excellent resources to help support your studies.

The programme is pretty fast-paced and keeps me focused. I’m definitely going through a period of great self-development and personal growth on this programme, and I’m really enjoying meeting and learning from students from such diverse backgrounds. I hope to settle in Auckland once I graduate, and find work as an accountant or similar in the financial and private business sector. I am confident that through this programme I will come away with the skills and knowledge I need to achieve my goals.”

Kaavya Rai Bhatnagar

Programme: Master of Business Analytics (MBusAn)

“It’s been an amazing experience. One of the main things I like about postgrad is it’s so close, you genuinely make meaningful connections and lifelong friendships. The networking you do is great, you get to meet so many people. Everyone wants to help each other grow.

It’s like a close-knit family. It’s quite nice how everyone wants to just grow each other. Everyone can kind of uplift each other and I think that’s what I love the most about this programme.”
